Aries

Aries like the other Fire signs, is driven to realize his own individuality. The sign symbolizes a need to look to the future and move forward into life. Being the first sign of spring, the symbol of new life. Aries is associated with the awakening energy which follows the hibernation of winter. Aries is about new growth and burgeoning life force, he represents the power of the ego emerging. People under this sign are learning to assert their identity effectively and confidently. Aries will to do battle with anything (or anyone) in his way. Aries will often pit himself against authority. Aries will often fight in order to test his strength and potency, and he will often choose to reject the wealth of experience and advice from his elders.

The leadership qualities of Aries are considerable, as is the need to be the instigator of action, along with a pioneering spirit and an apparent self confidence. The rush of energy which propels Aries in his quest quest for leadership is impulsive leaving little room for diplomacy. Aries does not respond well to routine and repetition, once a task has been completed and mastered, there is an inbuilt need to move on the next. There is a constant desire for spontaneity and freedom to pursue new goals.

Aries may often find it hard to express the dynamic energy of the sign, it may reflect an early childhood where his confidence has been undermined which leads to fearful self expression and doubts about his own potency and will. Arien’s forceful nature cannot tolerate endless suppression and sooner or later his repressed energy surface’s through an explosive temper, or depression which masks inner rage.

Aries represents a search for self through activity that reaffirms his existence as an individual, set apart from others. The desire to be first and best is natural to Aries, you will often find him fighting for his own space and he won’t take kindly to anyone who is too clingy and possessive. It is not in his nature to become too relationship dependent. Learning to share and co-operate are traits associated with Libra it’s opposite sign, and theses must be cultivated in order for him to fully realize his creative potential. Aries likes to make a conquest and can be powerfully romantic, although selfish and demanding. Aries is fiercely protective towards his nearest and dearest and he will exhibit strong feelings towards lovers.

When Aries is too impatient and impulsive he will often act without thinking. This can occasionally result in regrettable situations, due to premature actions. Aries is an enthusiastic and courageous sign. Ariens’ are very direct and straight forward. Aries experiences and understands the world from a totally subjective position and judges all that is presented entirely from a personal perspective. Aries is decisive with an enthusiastic forceful energy, and he will often motivate other people into taking action.   Aries can feel wounded when others behave dishonorably towards them. Disloyalty, backstabbing, and revenge bewilder him. Aries in essence is spirited, warm hearted and positive about life. And often he will need to be left alone to discover his own strength and inner potential.
